Degree College (Bengali নীলকান্ত সরকারি ডিগ্রি কলেজ) is one of the prime institutions of Monohorgonj upazila under Cumilla district.The institution was founded by heroic freedom fighter Sunil Ranjan Bhattacharjee (S.R.Chowdhury) on 19 February 1986 according to his father’s name Nilkanta Bhattacharjee, donating three acres of his own land. This institution got the opportunity of nationalization on 8 August 2018 during the fomer government. It is operated and guided by the National University and the Higher Secondary Education Board of Cumilla. The Educational Institute Identification Number (EIIN) of this institution is 105954 . In the higher secondary level, it offers different disciplines under humanties,science and business studies departments. B.M.T section is also included here. B.A, B.S.S and B.B.S courses are available in this college under the National University
